The show, aimed at pre-school children, features Mopatop and his assistant Puppyduck. The aim of the show is to introduce children to a variety of concepts such as shapes and musical sounds using imagination, humor and fun.

Mopatop's Shop was a television series that which premiered on CITV in the UK on 1 May 1999. 260 ten-minute episodes were made and aired daily. It was a co-production between Jim Henson Productions and Carlton Television.
